Investing in Crypto With BUX Zero: Here’s How It Works

You can now invest in crypto with BUX Zero alongside your portfolio of stocks and ETFs. That means you can build and manage a super diversified portfolio from one app.

In this article, we explain how you can buy and sell crypto in the app, how we ensure that your investments are safe, and what the costs are.

If you’re new to crypto and you want to learn more, then start with this article. It’s a simple guide where we explain exactly what cryptocurrencies are.

How to buy cryptocurrencies on BUX Zero :currency_exchange:

  • Select the cryptocurrency you want.
  • Enter the amount you want to spend.
  • Set whether you want to display your order in crypto or in euros (for example €500 or 0.25 BTC).
  • Check the amount entered (the minimum order is €7).
  • Confirm your purchase*

*The final cash amount may be slightly higher or lower than what you entered. That’s because we execute the trade denominated in crypto. For example, you may enter €500 as the purchase amount, but your order may be executed for €498 if the market moves during that time.

How to sell cryptocurrencies :moneybag:

  • Enter how much crypto you want to sell.
  • Check the entered amount.
  • Place your sell order.

What about the costs when you invest in crypto? :euro:

Buying and selling crypto on BUX Zero is commission free when you use a market order. You can view the detailed explanation of costs here.

How is your crypto portfolio secured? :file_cabinet:

Your crypto portfolio is protected by Fireblocks

BUX Zero works with an acclaimed security platform provided by Fireblocks to make sure trading crypto is secure. With the help of Fireblocks, we ensure that your investments are well-protected by cryptographic technology called multi-party computation (MPC) and a strict security policy.

Encrypted traffic

All communications with BUX Zero are encrypted all the way to our servers, with the encryption of at least TLS version 1.2, as required by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. In addition, we closely monitor all traffic patterns to keep out potential malicious parties. We also monitor funds in real time, keeping most funds in cold storage.

Strict processes and audits

The security of your investments is very important to us. To securely store your cryptocurrencies, we work internally with strict processes. For example, we undergo regular internal and external audits. We also conduct penetration tests and host regular training and awareness sessions for our employees.

Crypto is still very volatile so make sure you only invest money you can afford to lose. While crypto can provide high returns, there is always the risk of (partially) losing your money. Good to read, so if I understand correctly you actually buy (and store) the respective crypto currencies and this is not based on something like CFD’s.

That is a reassuring thought.

Hi Jpeters!

We indeed buy (and thus own/store) the respective cryptos :+1:

If you would like to trade CFD’s (crypto) this is possible on BUX X

Best,
Wouter

do you post proof that you actually hold the crypto that all users combined have? (or have a claim on)
is BUX zero transparent in showing their holdings of crypto?

in a lot of online communities there is a lot of sceptism around custodial exchanges that do not own the crypto that users have on that platform. Still there is alot of mistrust in the crypto cummunity therefore the phrase ‘‘don’t trust, verify’’
so does BUXzero produce a way to verify its holdings? (post crypto wallet adresses?)

Hi @xnic, I know that we are looking into enabling crypto in Germany, but I don’t have definite timelines for this.

You are not here to genuinely post, you are an account to promote (check obvious signature) a separate trading platform.

Do we have a report button on this forum to get rid of these spam accounts? @Fergus

Noted. Thanks @JPeters

@JPeters Mate, Fergus isn’t working for Bux anymore… Bux made a big mistake imo, cause he and @BenedettaBUX where the only people of BUX who told us everything… but they sacked Fergus cause he was too good in his job. So…

Hey @Cornel We’re also sad to see Fergus leave, he’s done some great work in getting the community to this point. Although in the immediate future we won’t have one dedicated community manager I hope that you do notice more interaction from BUX employees as a whole. Also great to see how active you are :facepunch:

I hope you guys will communicate more than you guys nowadays does. Because there was a lot lag of communication in the past. The only 2 who spoke to us where @Fergus @BenedettaBUX

So good luck :crossed_fingers:

@Nige I’m curious why Fergus “left” (was he sacked or did he quit) while he was very good at community managing and communicating.

He was key in building up this community forum, and the kind words for his work show how much his efforts were appreciated. It is the case that sometimes strategies, managers and other factors contribute to changes. We want to assure you that we are committed to keeping this forum thriving and hope we can count on you to help us in making it bigger and better every day.

Thank you for explaining while tactfully not directly answering the question.

Shame you are letting talented people go though, they are the key to a healthy company culture.

I do hope that you are indeed keeping your word on ensuring this forum will thrive, that requires short links between users and employees.

I totally agree and we are now improving that!

Dear Bux,

I am currenlty having my crypto (2% of my investing porfolio in Bitvavo) can I transfer those coins to the bux environment directly from bitvavo to BUX zero?
I can’t find a wallet number on the bux application.

looking forward to your feedback

Hi @Tasso, generally it is possible to transfer your portfolio from another platform to BUX Zero (as long as we offer the assets you want to transfer). However, we can not transfer Crypto currencies at the moment, unfortunately. Hopefully in the future. :muscle:t2:
